We are hosting our very first Outdoor Womxn Backpacking trip in Sespe Wilderness in Ojai, California. April 23rd also just so happens to be OW’s one year anniversary so we are excited to celebrate outdoors with our community! 

Join us for a one night backpacking trip in the beautiful Sespe Wilderness. The trip will focus on learning about the native plants and indigenous people who inhabited the area. Emily Mueller will be cooking and providing healthy and holistic meals for the group. We will discuss how to prepare and enjoy healthy, holistic meals while backpacking and enjoying the outdoors.

The whole trip costs $60 for food, gas, and transportation for the whole trip. Outdoor Womxn and organizers are not making any profits from the trip, all costs are going to the trip, any funds left over will distributed back to the participants! Who? 

Any womxn or feme gendered folx with with a passion for the outdoors. 

This is an all levels trip! There is no specific backpacking experience required. In fact, this would be the perfect first backpacking trip for anyone who has wanted to go. Please make sure you are able to hike 5 miles with ~800ft of elevation gain, no camping experience required. Email if you want to talk about skill level and the trip. 

What? 

A two day backpacking trip in the Sespe Wilderness. We will be backpacking out to Willate hot springs Saturday morning. Then we will set up camp and do a day hike. During the evening, we will cook together, journal and discuss topics that anyone wants to. We will wake up Sunday morning, make breakfast and then pack out together enjoying some delicious snacks. 

When? 

7:45am April 23rd - late afternoon April 24th.
